There were ~10,000 software companies just over 10 years ago globally. Now, there are over 100,000, and they need to train millions of people on their software. We believe that technology holds the key to unlocking software education. Our mission is to drive engaging and effective training experiences that empower people to succeed professionally
We build a platform for hands-on product education. There are many challenges to serving our customers and their learners. We need to provide a reliable, performant UX (via globally distributed infrastructure), as if in a real classroom. Everything has to be in a single web-app that changes in real-time with very low downtime. We also have to feed as much data as we can to our customers. Our success will improve how people teach and learn software. Being product-centric means that almost all of your work will affect customers immediately, via a very short delivery path.
Thankfully, we got things going already! Companies like VMWare, Elastic, Docker, Snyk, and MongoDB train using our product and love it! Since our founding in 2017, more than 75,000 learners have logged over 2.5M hours with Strigo. We’re small, pre-growth, and we need you to help us build the best training platform out there.
What you’ll be doing
TL;DR you’ll be working with the team’s product manager and designer to design our product and do lots of hands-on development (end-to-end - from product to production). It’s important to us to emphasize that we’re looking for engineers who want to contribute to the product, not just write code. We very strongly emphasize autonomy and default to hiring Managers of One. You’ll also be expected to help other engineers succeed.
If you want to dive deeper into what being an engineer in our engineering org means, let’s talk.
Skills we need
Compensation and benefits
We offer generous salaries, equity, take-what-you-need PTO (who said paternity leave?), very flexible work hours (in-office or remote), and subsidized lunches.
